Russell Urban, Principal and Managing

Russell Urban



Principal & Management

Russ Urban is Principal and Managing Partner for Electra America Hospitality Group. A hospitality professional with over 40 years of U.S., global institutional, and entrepreneurial experience, Russ has served in leadership roles for multiple owner/operators including HEI, High and Lowe, and Marriott. He also founded his own hotel ventures, including Hotel Partners.


Russ has extensive expertise in resort, urban and suburban hotel asset acquisition, and development/renovation, including site selection, entitlements, financing, pre-construction, architectural design, construction, lease negotiations, and historic tax credits. Other areas of expertise include talent acquisition and development, collaborative decision-making, culture building, and results-driven financial accountability.


Russ graduated from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration in 1981 and serves on the board of Cornell Hotel Society Foundation. Further, Russ is chairman of the board for Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.

Larry Korman is President of AKA Hotel Residences and Co-CEO of Korman Communities, a four-generation innovative residential real estate company. AKA was created to fill a need in the hospitality market through the acquisition and transformation of high-rise properties in iconic cities, within the most exclusive neighborhoods. Under Larry’s leadership, AKA has achieved a thoughtful balance between the style and hospitality of an intimate hotel and the space and comfort of a fully appointed luxury condominium. Larry oversees the design, development, operations, branding, and partnership relations.  


AKA was recently recognized as the World’s Best Hotel Residences by BBC, CN Traveler, US News+World Report, and the Serviced Apartment News – which also awarded Larry with their prestigious “Industry Inspiration” award in 2020. 


Raised in renowned architect Louis Kahn’s last residential commission, Larry grew to understand the importance of great design. Larry graduated from Duke University and serves on the Boards of Penn Design, Drexel University, Children’s Hospital of PA, and is the Chair of the Philadelphia Film Festival. 

Bradley J. Korman, Principal in Electra America Hospitality Group

Principal

Bradley Korman is Principal in Electra America Hospitality Group and co-CEO of Korman Communities, Inc. Bradley has led the acquisition, development, and financing program of all new properties by the company, including the entrance into new markets such as New York City, Beverly Hills, and London. This growth has allowed Korman Communities to establish relationships with some of the largest and most respected financial and lending institutions in the country. Bradley oversees all new business development, including debt and equity relationships, throughout the company.


Bradley serves on the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Police Foundation, Germantown Academy, and the Duke University Library Advisory Board. He’s also a member of the JFRE Executive Committee, President’s Leadership Council at Jefferson, Zell/Laurie Real Estate Center of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania and New York. He received his B.A. from Duke University in 1987, and his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.

Investments & Acquisitions 

Gabe Marabella serves as Managing Director of Investments and Acquisitions for Korman Communities and has over 15 years of real estate experience.  Gabe has been with the Company since 2011 and heads the Korman Communities’ New York City office.


Prior to joining Korman, Gabe worked within the Real Estate Groups of Citizens Bank and Merrill Lynch.  Gabe received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005.

Barrett is Vice President for acquisition and analysis, where he supports executive leadership in sourcing acquisition opportunities, as well as acquisition underwriting, due diligence, and purchase of hotel assets.


A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Barrett has held multiple roles within the hospitality industry, most recently serving as Senior Analyst at HRI properties in New Orleans, Louisiana. While there, he evaluated and closed a variety of hotel, apartment, and mixed-use acquisition, development, and third-party management opportunities, and underwrote all hospitality investment opportunities for HRI Properties. 


Barrett graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Hotel Administration as well as a minor in Real Estate in 2017 and a concentration in Real Estate Development. He resides in Delray Beach, Florida.

Jill Cody, Manager of Administration

As Manager of Administration, Jill provides high-level support to the executive leadership team at Electra America Hospitality Group. She brings 25 years of professional experience across multiple industries, including healthcare, insurance, accounting, and e-commerce.


Prior to joining EAHG, she held roles at Cypress Partners, LLC, Dance Ferrentino Insurance and Financial, Inc., and M.LaHart & Company.


Jill trained as a paralegal, ran a charity golf tournament benefiting the American Cancer Society for three years, and volunteers for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She resides in North Palm Beach, Florida. 

Joe Lubeck, CEO

Joe is the CEO and Co-Manager of American Landmark. An expert in value-added and distressed real estate repositioning, and multifamily acquisitions, operations and dispositions, Joe has overseen four successful multifamily portfolio builds totaling 100,000 units, with a value in excess of $7 billion, over the last 15 years. He was the original founder of Landmark Apartment Trust, which sold its portfolio in 2015 for $1.9 billion.


Joe and his partners returned to the private sector in 2015 to begin a new portfolio build under the American Landmark brand. As CEO of American Landmark, Joe oversees all aspects of the company’s operations, from finance to property management. An honors graduate of Cornell University, Joe holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Delaware Law School. Joe is active in numerous civic and charitable endeavors.


Jim Miller, President & CFO

Jim is the President and CFO of American Landmark and a member of the Senior Executive Management Committee, co-chair of the Valuation Committee. As President and CFO, Jim is responsible for the financial and operational day-to-day management of the company. He has over 30 years of accounting, finance and operational expertise, and has been involved in 560 asset acquisitions and 470 dispositions totaling over $8 billion in asset value over a 17-year period.


Prior to joining American Landmark, Jim was the COO and CFO of Landmark Apartment Trust. A Certified Public Accountant, Jim holds a B.S. degree from Florida State University and a M.B.A. degree (Accounting) from the University of South Florida.

Michael Salkind, Co-CEO, Elco Ltd

Mr. Salkind serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Elco Ltd. since 2011.


During his career, Mr. Salkind has invested across many property types including office, retail, residential, industrial, and hotel. His direct investment experience includes various forms of debt and equity, as well as development and acquisition partnerships in public and private companies.


Mr. Salkind also serves as the chairman of the board of Electra Ltd. A leading construction and facility management company in Israel with revenues of $2 billion. Mr. Salkind is serving as a director on the board of Electra Consumer Products Ltd., a leading electrical retail and consumer products in Israel. He is also a board member of super Gas, Israel’s leading gas distribution company. Mr. Salkind initiated the company's multifamily investment platform back in 2008 and has been involved in underwriting, acquiring, and managing over $7 Billion in assets and has been a key driver of asset executions and returns. In 2016 he oversaw the successful sale of the company's $2 billion portfolio to Starwood. Mr. Salkind is also a member of Electra’s Investment Committee.


Mr. Salkind received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Boston University and his MBA from Columbia University in the United States.

Gil Rushinek is the CEO of Electra Real Estate Ltd. He joined the company in 2006 and has held numerous positions since then. He has vast experience in development, acquisitions, operations, and dispositions.

Amir Yaniv, Chief Credit Officer, Electra Capital

Amir Yaniv


CEO, Electra Real Estate Ltd

As Chief Credit Officer for Electra Capital, Amir works closely with acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management. He also serves as the Vice President of Development for Electra Real Estate. He joined the Electra family in 2013 and has held numerous roles in the firm prior to his current appointment.


Prior to joining Electra Real Estate, Amir was a consultant at an Israeli investment banking firm. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration and his MBA from Bar Ilan University.

Hay Riany



Head of Hospitality, Electra Real Estate Ltd

Hay is the Head of Hospitality and Debt funds at Electra Real Estate Ltd. 


He joined the company in 2021 and has held several roles since, including Head of Research and Analysis. 


Prior to joining Electra Real Estate, Hay was a team leader in a credit rating agency and a senior associate in an accounting firm.

He holds a BA degree in Accounting and Economics and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University.
